Privacy
Privacy refers to the inegrity and security of data which in turn protects the identity of those details which are contained within a personal database, Privacy is important as it allows the cloak of anonymity to remain.
Copyright
Copyright is a law which applies to any property which has been created through creative process (also referred to as intelectual property). For items such as artwork, music and literature copyright is automatically assigned to the creator (under Australian Law) however for Software, invetions, machinery a licence must be drawn down and copyright terms must be stated.
Control
Control is a term used in copyright to refer to how a product is used in accordance to copyright for example control would be need in most intelectual property to stop plagarism and theft of the property. In Software control refers to backwards engineering and code theft.
Equity
Equity refers to a percentage of a sale which belongs to the original author, also known as royalties the equity of a property is not a privelige it is a right for all authors.
Ethics
Ethics refers to how a product has been made and sold. If the products costs were very low then ethically the product should be sold forĀ a lower price thus intern giving a profit proportaniate to costs however if it was sold for a way higher price this would be breaking ethical practice.
